Workshop on Mapping and Analysis using QGIS, 26-29.05.2021

A four-day workshop on Mapping and Analysis using QGIS was conducted by Department of Geography, MLSU, Udaipur for the research scholars of the department from 26th – 29th May, 2021. The inaugural talk was presented by Mr. Ujaval Gandhi, International GIS Expert & Founder, Spatial Thoughts. The inaugural session was chaired by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, MLSU Prof. Amarika Singh. Prof. R.D. Gurjar, Former Head (Retd.), Dept. of Geography, University of Rajasthan, Dr. Shailesh K. Chaure, WebGIS Expert, Govt. Holkar Science College, M.P. and Prof. Madan Singh Rathore, Dean PG Studies, MLSU were the guests of honor. The workshop was structured in a way where theoretical sessions were held in the pre-lunch hours followed by hands-on session on the software in the post-lunch hours. The in-house faculty team consists of Prof. Seema Jalan, Dr. Devendra Singh Chouhan, Ms. Urmi Sharma and Mr. Rajesh Yadav. Ms. Priyanka Rao (PhD Scholar), Mr. Ramavtar Jat (JRF) and Mr. Bhupendra S. Rathore (JRF) were part of the organizing team. Mr. Kailash Meena handled technical assistance of the workshop. A total of 42 participants were benefitted by the workshop and had successfully passed the examination required for certification on the last day of the workshop.
