SHE: The Changemaker

Date: 31/01/2022 Venue: Deen Dayal Uapdhyay Sabhagar, University College of Social Sciences & Humanities, MLS University Number of Participants: 72 Organizing Secretary: Dr. Garima Mishra Description: As a partnering institution to National Commission for Women, UGC Center for Women’s Studies, MLSU under the guidance of Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Amarika Singh, organised an interactive session ‘SHE: THE CHANGEMAKER’ at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Sabhagar, University College for Social Sciences & Humanities, MLS University. On the occasion of 30th Foundation Day of National Commission for Women, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi Ji, addressed the nation at 1630 hours. To attend this event, around 150 faculty members, students and research scholars were registered. Prof. S. K. Kataria, Faculty Chairperson, Social Sciences, Dr. Meenakshi Jain, Associate Dean, UCSSH and Prof. Pratibha, Director, UGC Center for Women’s Studies, MLSU shared their views with students and grace the occasion with their presence. After the PM address to the nation, Participants presented their views on women’s issues, rights, present status of women in society, Gender representations in social media.
